ENVIRONMENTAL LABELLING OF PACKAGING

1. Legal basis

This document is prepared in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree No. 152/2006, as amended by Legislative Decree No. 116/2020, and the guidelines issued by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.

As an Italy-based company, Lazzarotto Souvenirs SAS applies Italian regulations and adapts the information provided, where reasonably possible, to meet the requirements applicable in the countries of destination within the European Union, in particular regarding environmental information and packaging waste management.

The products and packaging concerned are intended exclusively for business customers (B2B) and are not intended for supply to end consumers.

2. Provision of information

Where direct labelling on packaging is not possible or appropriate (in particular for neutral packaging and transport/tertiary packaging such as pallet wrap, pallets, cartons, and dividers), environmental information is provided via accompanying documents (e.g. delivery note) or digital means (e.g. company website).

3. Material identification

Packaging materials are identified in accordance with Commission Decision 97/129/EC:

Paper and cardboard: PAP 20, PAP 21, PAP 22
Plastics: LDPE 04, PS 06, PP 05
Metals: FE 40, ALU 41
Wood: FOR 50

This information is provided to facilitate correct sorting and waste management.

4. Waste sorting and disposal

Packaging waste must be sorted and disposed of in accordance with the regulations applicable in the country of destination.

Business users are responsible for complying with local waste sorting rules and the instructions issued by competent authorities or authorised waste management systems in each Member State.

5. Regulatory obligations (EPR)

Environmental labelling is implemented in accordance with applicable legal requirements, taking into account technical constraints of packaging and any transitional provisions.

In EU Member States, specific obligations may apply under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes.

These obligations may include, depending on the national system:

registration with national packaging compliance schemes
reporting of packaging quantities placed on the market
compliance with national recycling and labelling requirements

Examples of national EPR systems include compliance schemes such as CITEO in France and ARA in Austria.

In Germany, packaging obligations are regulated under the Packaging Act (VerpackG) and typically require participation in authorised dual systems.

Responsibility is allocated according to each operator’s role within the supply chain. Affected economic operators are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable national requirements.

6. Responsibilities – B2B customers

The information provided in this document is primarily based on Italian legislation.

For activities involving other EU Member States, each economic operator is responsible for ensuring compliance with the applicable local regulations relevant to their role in the supply chain, particularly regarding EPR schemes and packaging waste legislation.

7. Commitment

Lazzarotto Souvenirs SAS is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its packaging, improving recyclability, and ensuring transparent, accessible, and regularly updated information, in line with applicable regulatory requirements and continuous improvement practices.
